WEF appreciates the support that the Chamber of Commerce has provided over the past several years, donating a portion of the proceeds from the Shop Wellesley First Gala as well as making a donation from the Chamber’s annual golf outing. The Chamber is a Bradford Society level donor having contributed over $10,000 to WEF. The Chamber has also demonstrated its commitment to public school education by participating on the Wellesley Celebrates Education Committee, the group planning the town-wide events to mark the closing of the old high school (“Turn Out the Lights”) and the opening of the new high school (“Turn on the Lights”).

The Chamber is a partner in seeing that Wellesley continues to thrive by supporting local businesses and encouraging Wellesley residents to “Shop Wellesley First". In that spirit, the Chamber has again selected WEF to be a beneficiary of a portion of the proceeds from this year’s “Shop Wellesley First Auction & Gala” to be held Saturday November 19, 2011. This is the weekend before the high school celebrations and what better way to kick off the holiday season than by meeting with friends and local merchants, perhaps fellow alumni too, at a festive evening gathering at the Babson Executive Conference Center. Local merchants and restaurants donate many wonderful auction items, and public school teachers will be at the event to share the successes of their WEF-funded grant programs. Come hear teachers chat about their innovative programs and the unique educational opportunities these grants afford to their students.

WEF is grateful to the Chamber for its continued support and commitment to excellence and innovation in the Wellesley Public Schools. For Gala tickets and other information, please visit http://www.wellesleychamber.org which has a complete listing of Chamber of Commerce events.

Please join WEF at the Chamber Gala, November 19th at the Babson Executive Conference Center.
